High (Chief) Alhaji Lamidi Ajadi (JP), esteemed Chairman of Lamidi Ajadi & Sons Nigeria Limited (LASL), prominent business magnate, and respected figure within the Muslim community of Ibadan and its environs, has passed away. His demise occurred on June 10, 2025.
The news was confirmed via a post on the official Facebook page of Success FM, a notable radio station in Ibadan.
The statement reads:
> “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Chief Lamidi Ajadi, a highly respected elder and prominent figure in the Muslim community of Ibadan and its environs. He passed on just a few hours ago.
Chief Ajadi was a man of peace, dignity, and unwavering devotion to the service of his faith and people. His wise counsel, leadership, and fatherly presence will be sorely missed by many.
We commiserate with his family, the Muslim Ummah, and the entire Ibadan community during this painful time.
May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
(Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.)”
As of the time of this report, no official statement has been released by either the family of the deceased or the leadership of the Ibadan Muslim community regarding his passing.
