The Muyideen Okunola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has reinforced its support for Kwara United ahead of the team’s highly anticipated President Federation Cup final clash against Abakaliki FC, by sponsoring 30 Offa-based football stakeholders with branded Kwara United jerseys.
The gesture, confirmed on Friday through a phone call with journalists in Lagos.
Chairman of Offa FC, Alhaji Omoluabi Azeez described the sponsorship as a testament to MOK’s dedication to nurturing sports in the state.
“This latest support from the MOK Foundation shows their consistent commitment to football and the empowerment of our youths through sports.
“Such gestures are crucial in inspiring young talents to pursue meaningful careers in football and sports at large,” Omoluabi said.
He also recalled the foundation’s earlier promise of a ₦100,000 reward per goal scored by Kwara United in Saturday’s grand finale.
He described the move as both motivational and reflective of MOK’s deep-rooted passion for grassroots sports development.
Alhaji Omoluabi further revealed that the MOK Foundation is set to play a major role as a partner in the upcoming Offa Preseason Tournament, praising the founder’s unprecedented contributions to the sporting landscape of Kwara.
Kwara United is set to face Abakaliki FC in the Federation Cup final on Saturday, June 28, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
The match marks a historic opportunity for the Harmony Boys to clinch one of Nigerian football’s most prestigious trophies.
