Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi, has congratulated Alhaji (Engr.) Dr. Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng, FCIoD, OON, mni, on his official investiture as the 23rd National President of the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
The high-profile ceremony, which took place today, Thursday, June 19 at the State Banquet Hall, Ilorin, attracted business leaders, policymakers, diplomats, and industry stakeholders from across the country.
In his congratulatory message, Ogbeni Ogunniyi described Engr. Ibrahim as “a man of towering accomplishments, a visionary industrialist, and a quintessential Nigerian whose leadership journey continues to inspire generations.”
“Engr. Jani Ibrahim’s emergence as NACCIMA President is not only well-deserved but a testament to decades of unrelenting service to Nigeria’s economic growth,” Ogunniyi said.
Engr. Ibrahim, the founder and chairman of Lubcon Group, is widely acknowledged as a pioneer in Nigeria’s lubricant industry. Under his watch, Lubcon became the first indigenous ISO-certified lubricant blending company in the country.
Beyond business, he is renowned for his cerebral approach to leadership and policy development, having passed through the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru and the Harvard Business School, USA.
Prior to his latest elevation, he served as 1st Deputy National President of NACCIMA, Chairman of the NACCIMA Committee on AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area), and previously helmed both KWACCIMA and the Coalition of Northern States Chambers of Commerce.
He also served as President of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI).
Ogbeni Ogunniyi noted that Ibrahim’s new position places him in a strategic vantage point to influence national discourse on trade, commerce, agriculture, mining, and industrial development.
“As he steps into this new role, we pray for wisdom, strength, and continued impact. May he remain a towering source of inspiration and a dependable compass for the younger generation,” he said.
Engr. Jani Ibrahim is a recipient of the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) and widely respected as a boardroom veteran whose influence transcends both private and public sectors.
