JAMB Denies Approving FUTA Graduate’s Admission Seven Years After

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has said it did not approve the admission of a Federal University of Technology, Akure graduate, Basola Jamiu Owodunni, whose records, according to the board, were not found in its Central Admissions Processing System.

JAMB disclosed this in a statement on Sunday signed by its Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, following Basola’s claim on social media that the board declared his university admission invalid seven years after he commenced his studies.

Basola said he sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in 2017 and was admitted into FUTA in 2018, where he studied civil engineering and graduated in 2024 with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.41.

According to him, the issue began after his final clearance when he was informed by the student affairs office that his mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps had been rejected.
