As the Muslim world marks the beginning of the new Islamic year, 1447AH, frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kwara State and founder of the Honourable Moshood Adeleke Foundation, Hon. Moshood Adeleke, has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslims across Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large.
In a statement personally signed by the 2027 House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Adeleke described Hijrah as a spiritual milestone and a call to reflect on the life, trials, and triumphs of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose migration from Makkah to Madinah laid the foundation for the values of justice, sacrifice, unity, and leadership through service.
“As we step into 1447AH, may we all embrace the timeless lessons of the Hijrah: to strive for peace in our communities, uphold truth and integrity, and build societies founded on justice, compassion and shared prosperity,” he said.
Hon. Adeleke lauded the contributions of Islamic scholars, Imams, traditional rulers, and faith-based organisations for their sustained role in spiritual development and peacebuilding across the state.
He particularly acknowledged the leadership of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, for his royal guidance and fatherly role as a beacon of Islamic values and harmony in Kwara.
He also praised the resilience and faith of the Muslim population in his constituency, urging them to remain hopeful and prayerful as the nation seeks revival on all fronts.
Hon. Adeleke reiterated his commitment to youth empowerment, inclusive governance, quality representation, and the social advancement of all communities across Offa, Oyun, and Ifelodun.
“I pray that Allah (SWT) blesses us all with a year of peace, good health, renewed faith, and uncommon progress. May 1447AH be a turning point for our families, our state, and our dear country, Nigeria,” he concluded.
