FG Approves Recruitment Of 30,000 Police Officers

The Federal Government has approved the recruitment of 30,000 additional police officers into the Nigeria Police Force.

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Senator Ahmad Abdulhamid Malam Madori (Jigawa North East), disclosed this to journalists in his office. He stated that the Police Service Commission has been granted the go-ahead to commence the recruitment process.

According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed that the recruitment be conducted annually to address the significant manpower deficit in the Force and strengthen internal security nationwide.

Senator Madori added that the recruitment exercise will be formally announced in national newspapers, and he cautioned Nigerians to beware of fraudsters posing as recruitment agents.
