Eid al-Adha: Engr. Akeem Ibrahim Adediji Begins Annual Cash Distribution to 1,000 Elderly, Widows, and Vulnerable Persons in Offa

Engr. Akeem Ibrahim Adediji has commenced the distribution of financial support to no fewer than one thousand elderly people, widows, and other underprivileged individuals in Offa, Kwara State.

This is in a compassionate gesture aimed at alleviating the burden of poverty among vulnerable members of society, and give succour to them especially during the Eid al-Adha.

Engr. Adediji, the founder and CEO of Adediji Construction Nigeria Limited, an indigenous firm with interests in engineering and construction services, emphasized the need to support those struggling to meet basic needs, especially during festive periods.

“It’s just a way to give back to the society. It’s to empower the elderly in Offa. A lot of people are struggling to find something to eat. So, I returned home for the Sallah celebration to reach out to the less privileged, especially the elderly who have little or nothing. This is my own little way of supporting them,” he said.

The outreach programme, which involved direct cash disbursements, was held at the private residence of Alhaji (Chief) Ibrahim Adeagbo Adediji, Chief Gbobaniyi of Offa and targeted widows, the aged, and economically disadvantaged residents.

Engr. Adediji further stated that the cash distribution would not be a one-off event.

“In sha Allah, this will be a yearly tradition at this venue. We’ve started today, and we will sustain and expand the initiative in the coming years,” he affirmed.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely assistance, describing it as a great relief during the festive period.
