Benue Woman Fatally Stabbed By Suspected Robbers In Lagos

A young woman identified as Faith, an indigene of Itakpa Ito in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, was reportedly stabbed to death by suspected robbers on Friday along Mobile Road in the Ajah axis of Lagos.

According to eyewitness accounts, Faith had visited her boyfriend earlier in the day and was on her way home when she was confronted by a group of assailants. The attackers allegedly attempted to snatch her phone and handbag, prompting a struggle during which she was stabbed in the neck with a sharp object, believed to be a knife.

She was left critically injured by the roadside and later found unresponsive by passersby, who quickly alerted law enforcement authorities. Her body has since been deposited at a nearby mortuary.

As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command had yet to release an official statement, though preliminary investigations are said to be ongoing to identify and arrest the culprits.
