APC Youth Leader To Launch ‘Progressive Youth House,’ Targets 10 Million Votes for Tinubu In 2027

In a strategic move to deepen youth participation in governance and reaffirm commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political vision, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Dayo Israel, is set to unveil the Progressive Youth Resource Centre in Abuja — a multipurpose facility aimed at transforming youth engagement across Nigeria’s political architecture.

Positioned in the upscale Wuse II district of Abuja, the Centre will serve as the operational headquarters of the APC National Youth Wing. It is one of the flagship legacy projects of Dr. Israel’s first tenure as National Youth Leader and reflects his ongoing drive to institutionalise youth mobilisation structures within the party.

According to an official statement from his office, the facility is purpose-built to power the APC’s youth strategy for the 2027 general elections, with a bold pledge to deliver no fewer than 10 million youth votes for President Tinubu’s re-election.

“This initiative redefines youth engagement — not just within our party but across the broader political spectrum,” Dr. Israel stated. “It will serve as a powerhouse for progressive ideas, training, mobilisation, and innovation.”

Dr. Israel reiterated his vision for a youth wing that is proactive, responsive, and solution-oriented. “We are building a generation that doesn’t just participate in politics but drives transformative national change,” he asserted.

He praised President Tinubu as a Pan-African Youth Champion, lauding his consistent record of empowering young Nigerians — from his days as Lagos State Governor to his current administration’s initiatives, such as the Student Loan Act and the PCNGI programme.

“The President must return for a second term to consolidate the gains of these reforms. As the APC Youth Wing, we are duty-bound to ensure that happens,” he said.

Dr. Israel revealed that the Youth House concept was a central plank of his 2022 campaign for National Youth Leader. The facility was funded through personal savings and support from allies who bought into his vision.

He also credited the strategic design of the Centre to insights gained during his self-sponsored study tours to India, Ghana, Morocco, China, and the UK, where he engaged youth leaders of ruling parties and studied political mobilisation models.

“These global benchmarks guided the architectural and operational outlook of the Youth House,” he explained. “With the unwavering support of the APC National Working Committee and my team of zonal and state youth leaders, this vision has now become a tangible institution.”

A Platform for Strategic Youth Development

The Progressive Youth Resource Centre will serve as the implementation hub for a five-year strategic plan to expand APC’s youth reach, strengthen structures from national to polling unit levels, and institutionalise youth-led policy advocacy within the party.

“We are not just building a facility — we are building a future,” Dr. Israel concluded. “Our mission is to reshape the perception of the APC among Nigerian youth, galvanise massive support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, and elevate the youth wing into a policy-shaping, change-driving force.”

The unveiling of the Centre marks a new chapter in youth-political integration, with a focus on recruitment, empowerment, and inclusive leadership as the party looks ahead to 2027.
