As Nigeria joins the rest of the world in marking Children’s Day, Amb. Miss Munirat Babalola extends wishes to children across the country, describing them as “the stars of tomorrow and the heartbeat of every hopeful society.”
In a press statement released on Tuesday, the youthful beauty queen and advocate said Children’s Day is not just a celebration, but a reminder of the collective responsibility society bears in raising and protecting its younger generation.
“Today, I celebrate every Nigerian child, for your laughter, your dreams, your questions, and your hope. You are more than our future; you are our now.
“Let every child, no matter where they live, be given access to education, safety, health, and love. You deserve a world that believes in your potential,” she added.
Amb Babalola is Miss Amity Queen Moremi Ajasoro International 2024/2025 and Youth Ambassador for the LEAH Foundation.
Speaking further, she urged parents, caregivers, leaders, and institutions to prioritize the welfare of children and create nurturing environments where they can thrive and dream big.
“Let us protect them from harm, equip them with knowledge, and surround them with love. The greatness of our nation lies in how we treat our children,” she concluded
