U.S. President Donald Trump has taken aim at Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett, describing her as a “low-IQ person” during a recent interview.
Speaking with NBC’s Kristen Welker on Sunday, Trump made the remark while commenting on the current state of the Democratic Party.
“I can’t name one Democrat. I look at the Democrats, they have a new person named Crockett,” Trump said. “I watched her speak the other day, and she’s definitely a low-IQ person — and they say she is the future of the party.”
“IQ politics is real. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” he added.
Rep. Crockett, 44, has represented Texas’s 30th congressional district since January 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, she is also a practicing attorney. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006.
