The Chief of Staff to Governor Alex Otti, Caleb Ajagba, has expressed his condolences to the Elefue family following the sudden death of Mr. Ugochukwu Kingston Elefue, the Permanent Secretary of Government House, Umuahia.
Elefue passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
During a condolence visit to the family’s country home in Amawom Oboro, Ikwuano LGA, Ajagba, represented by the Director of Administration, Government House, Nwomiko Udo-Nwokocha, urged the family to find strength in their time of grief.
Describing the late Permanent Secretary as humble, kind-hearted, and dedicated, Ajagba noted that Elefue had worked harmoniously with him during his tenure at the Government House. He encouraged the family not to mourn like those without hope and assured them of the government’s support during this difficult period.
The Chairperson of the Staff Welfare Association, Government House, Mrs. Benadeth Oluchi Ubani, also paid tribute, recalling Elefue as a good-natured and accommodating leader. She expressed deep sorrow over his sudden passing.
Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Ifeanyi Elefue, the deceased’s younger brother, thanked the Chief of Staff and the entire Government House team for their support and solidarity during their time of grief.
