
The Honourable Member representing Ojomu Balogun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Alhaja Bilqis Jumoke Sanni Alasonla on her nomination for appointment as an Executive Director at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The NCDC, established to drive infrastructural growth, stimulate economic development, and enhance social welfare across Nigeria’s North Central geopolitical zone, oversees strategic initiatives in Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau States and the Federal Capital Territory.
The commission is under the legislative oversight of the National Assembly.
Alhaja Bilqis Sanni Alasonla, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Kwara State Civil Service and a respected grassroots mobilizer from Offa, brings to the nomination a wealth of experience, integrity, and an outstanding record of public service.
She is also a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
In his congratulatory message, Ogbeni Ogunniyi described her nomination as “well-deserved” and a “fitting reward for decades of selfless service and loyalty to both the people and the progressive cause.”
He commended her commitment to the development of Offa and the advancement of the APC’s ideals at both state and national levels.
Ogbeni Ogunniyi also expressed deep appreciation to the Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, and His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for their instrumental support in the nomination process.
He further lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing and appointing a competent daughter of Offa to serve at the federal level.
He concluded by expressing optimism about the swift confirmation of Alhaja Bilqis’s appointment by the National Assembly and wished her success in her forthcoming national assignment.
