Hon. Abdulsalam Babatunde Sheriffdeen, the Councillor representing Shawo Central Ward and Chairman of the Committee on Health, Offa Local Government Council congratulates Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni on her recent appointment as the Executive Director of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
In a congratulatory message issued on Wednesday and made News Bulletin Nigeria, Hon. Abdulsalam described the appointment of Hajia Sanni—an illustrious daughter of Shawo Central Ward—as a well-deserved honour that reflects her decades-long dedication to public service, grassroots development, and health sector administration.
“It is with immense pride and heartfelt joy that I, on behalf of the good people of Shawo Central Ward, celebrate our dear mother and distinguished community leader, Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni, on her historic appointment as Executive Director of the NCDC.
“Hajia Sanni’s appointment is not only a recognition of her exceptional administrative capacity and long-standing commitment to public health and welfare, but also a moment of pride for Offa Local Government and Kwara State at large,” he stated.
Hon. Abdulsalam, who also chairs the Health Committee of the Offa Local Government Council, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Senator Lola Ashiru and the relevant authorities for identifying and appointing a grassroots-oriented technocrat with a proven record of service and integrity.
“Hajia Sanni’s wealth of experience, particularly in the health and water sectors, and her extensive public service background, will undoubtedly bring transformative leadership to the NCDC at a time when Nigeria’s health system requires strong, visionary, and capable hands,” he added.
He further called on stakeholders from across Offa and Kwara State to rally support for Hajia Sanni in her new national assignment, urging her to continue being a beacon of excellence and a worthy ambassador of Shawo Central Ward.
