In a continued effort to support basic education and ease the burden on parents, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has paid school fees for 105 pupils and commenced the distribution of writing materials across primary schools in Kwara State.
The initiative kicked off on Monday in Offa Local Government Area, led by the Director of the Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal.
According to the Foundation, 80 pupils at St. Cyprian’s LGEA Catholic School II and 25 pupils at Ansar-ud-Deen II Primary School had their school fees fully covered.
In addition to the fee payments, the Foundation began distributing pencils to pupils in 11 different primary schools across the local government area.
Beneficiaries included pupils in kindergarten and Primary 1 to 3, ensuring that the youngest learners were adequately equipped for the new academic session.
The schools visited during the exercise include: St. Cyprian’s LGEA Catholic School I & II, Iyeru Okin Primary School I & II, Ansar-ud-Deen Primary Schools I, II, & III, Bishop Smith LGEA School, St. Mark Primary School I & II and St. Thomas Primary School I & II
The pencils distributed were manufactured by BAMIB Resources and Investments Company, a firm recognized for producing specially branded pencils tailored for educational institutions.
Under the leadership of Mr. Ibrahim, BAMIB has gained national attention for supporting both federal and state school systems with essential learning materials.
Speaking during the outreach, Mr. Lawal reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to supporting education, especially at the grassroots level.
“We believe that no child should be denied basic education because of financial constraints or lack of materials,” he stated.
The gesture by the MOK Foundation was widely applauded by school administrators, teachers, and parents, who described it as timely and impactful.
The MOK Foundation, known for its philanthropic interventions in health, education, and welfare, continues to play a vital role in community development across Kwara State.
