A tanker carrying 45,000 litres of kerosene lost control on Friday at the Taki Roundabout area in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident, stating that the tanker, with registration number KMC 127 ZQ (Kano), overturned on an open road.
Upon arrival at the scene, we found the tanker had lost control and fallen. We quickly took action by covering the area with chemical foam to prevent any fire outbreak and secured properties worth millions of naira,” he said.
Akinwande added that there were no casualties recorded in the incident.
