JAMB Releases 2025 UTME Results: How To Check Your Score

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. Over 1.95 million registered candidates across Nigeria can now access their scores through JAMB’s designated SMS channels or its official online platform.

How to Check Your 2025 UTME Result via SMS

JAMB continues to provide its mobile-based result-checking service for quick and easy access. Candidates must use the phone number they registered with to send an SMS to either 55019 or 66019.

Steps to Check Your Result:

1. Open the messaging app on your registered mobile phone.

2. Type RESULT (in capital letters), followed by a space, then your JAMB Registration Number.

3. Send the message to 55019 or 66019.

4. Wait for a response from JAMB with your UTME scores for each subject.

Note: This service costs ₦50, which will be deducted from your mobile airtime.

How to Check Your 2025 UTME Result Online

For a more detailed breakdown of your scores, candidates can visit JAMB’s e-Facility portal. This option is accessible through a smartphone or computer.

Steps to Check Online:

1. Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.

2. Log in using your JAMB registration number or email address and password.

3. Click on Print Examination Slip to view your exam details.

4. Your full UTME result will be displayed on the screen.

Key Highlights of the 2025 UTME Results

The results have brought attention to a concerning performance trend nationwide. Out of the 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the exam:

Only 21.5% (412,415 candidates) scored above 200, the standard minimum for university admission.

Nearly 79% of candidates scored below the benchmark.

Detailed Breakdown:

320 and above: 4,756 candidates

300–319: 7,658 candidates

250–299: 73,441 candidates

200–249: 334,560 candidates

160–199: 983,187 candidates

140–159: 488,197 candidates

JAMB also noted that 40,247 underage candidates were allowed to participate in the UTME due to exceptional abilities. However, only 467 (1.16%) met the Board’s criteria for exceptional performance.

Examination Infractions and Biometric Issues

97 candidates were found guilty of examination malpractice.

An additional 2,157 candidates are currently under investigation.

71,701 candidates were absent, primarily due to biometric verification issues.

JAMB stated that candidates with unresolved biometric concerns are under investigation. If cleared, they will be rescheduled to take the examination at approved centres.
