Media personality Toke Makinwa has stirred the conversation pot again, saying she wouldn’t mind becoming someone’s second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife.
On a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments which was shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, the outspoken host made the bold statement with a playful tone, saying, “At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to marry again, as a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife, I’ll take it.”
The comment comes on the heels of her reflections about her past marriage to Maje Ayida, which ended in 2017 following allegations of infidelity.
In earlier podcast episodes, Toke shared how that chapter left her emotionally raw, often bringing her to tears.

Now 40, Toke is owning her reality and pushing back against societal timelines.
“I am 40, I am single, and I am childless. I said it, and I didn’t die,” she stated. “I used to feel ashamed… But honestly, if I had gotten married again, I would have been divorced again. The lessons don’t stop.”
