A popular TikTok content creator, known simply as Disturbing, who collapsed during a live video session at his residence in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, has been laid to rest.
A viral video viewed by our correspondent on Friday captured the final moments of the creator, who appeared to suffer a seizure before collapsing.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Disturbing was buried on Friday.
“The incident happened on Thursday, and he passed away on Friday. The family decided to bury him immediately,” the source said.
The deceased was known for his active involvement in the Justice for Mohbad movement. Following his death, several members of the movement, including Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, reportedly visited the bereaved family.
In a TikTok post reacting to her husband’s death, the deceased’s wife, identified simply as Omowunmi, disclosed that Disturbing hit his head on a stone after collapsing.
She explained that she was in the kitchen when neighbours alerted her to the incident.
“Yesterday morning, my husband was on TikTok live while I cooked his food in the kitchen. Suddenly, he had a seizure, fell, and hit his head on a stone in front of him. Blood started coming from his head. A young boy and some neighbours passing by saw him and, thinking he had fainted, began pouring water on him. The boy then rushed in to call me,” she narrated.
Omowunmi said efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, adding that he died early Friday despite being placed on oxygen at the hospital.
She also clarified that it was not the first time her husband had suffered a seizure, noting that he had been on medication for the condition.
“The last time he had a seizure was in February. I have never left him alone because of this. If not that I was cooking, I would have caught him when it happened. To everyone suggesting it was a spiritual attack — it was a medical condition,” she stressed.
