Veteran Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has expressed displeasure over comparisons between himself and fellow artiste, Portable.
Terry G, who rose to prominence in 2006 with his energetic performances and unique street-hop sound, described the comparisons as disrespectful.
The parallels drawn between the two musicians stem from their eccentric personalities and similar musical styles. However, Terry G insists the similarities end there.
Taking to social media platform X, the “Akpako Master” stated:
“Comparing me to Portable is disrespectful because I actually have music people listen to 10 years later.”
