Nigeria’s Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, has conducted an assessment tour of the proposed ITHAD Village.
The landmark Islamic development project is situated on the uplands of the Bolohunduro community, overlooking the permanent site of Summit University, Offa.
The ITHAD Village is envisioned to include a maternity centre, mosque (Masjid), ICT centre, Islamic cemetery, midwifery training facility, and an administrative complex.
Senator Ashiru’s visit follows an appeal for support made by members of the Muslim community towards the realization of the Offa Islamic Village dream.
According to Omuiyadun Hammed Dimeji, popularly known as Yah Omuz, Executive Director of Mobikita Initiatives and Principal Personal Assistant to the Senator, the lawmaker spent nearly two hours walking through the expansive project site.
