The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Offa Branch, has successfully conducted its maiden Annual General Meeting and election, culminating in the emergence of Engr. Abdulfatai Kolawole Yusuf as the pioneer Chairman of the branch.

The landmark event was held at the Offa Descendants Union (ODU) Secretariat, National Headquarters, and marks a new chapter for engineering professionals in the Offa axis and its environs.

The election was presided over by Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, who was ably represented by Engr. Joseph Sunday Adebayo, FNSE, a former NSE Vice President (North Central) and supervisor of the election process.

The Electoral Committee was chaired by Engr. (Dr.) Waheed Balogun, who oversaw the transparent and well-coordinated voting process.

Engr. Abdulfatai Kolawole Yusuf, a seasoned engineer and public servant, currently serves as the Manager of the Technology Incubation Centre in Ilorin, under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology.

He is also the immediate past President of Offa Engineers and a former Supervisory Councillor in Offa Local Government Council.

8. Engr. Lateef Bello – Ex-Officio I
9. Engr. Bamidele Hammed Adekunle – Ex-Officio II

The Offa Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers was officially approved in November 2024 by the NSE National Council during its monthly meeting, presided over by Engr. Oguntala.

The newly elected executive is expected to steer the affairs of the branch towards promoting excellence in engineering practice, mentorship, and community development initiatives.
