In a move to promote sustainable energy practices and empower local technicians with industry-relevant skills, Dazmah Consult Ltd, a Nigerian company with expertise in solar energy, power, real estate, project management, and telecommunications, partnered with Hinen New Energy to organize a two-day capacity-building workshop for solar installers in Kwara State.
The first leg of the workshop took place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Bread Trenergy Nigeria Limited Energy Store in Ilorin. The session, which attracted more than 60 participants, was specifically organized for members of the Kwara State Association of Solar, Satellite, CCTV, Intercomm Installers (KASSCII).
The second session was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Exam Collation Centre behind Stella Obasanjo Hall, The Federal Polytechnic Offa. It brought together more than 80 participants, including members of the Kwara State Artisan Offa Branch Solar Installers Unit, the Association of Barbing Salon Owners (Offa Branch), and the Offa Unit of KASSCII, along with attendees from Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
The workshops were attended by top executives from Hinen New Energy, including Country Manager Martin Yin, Head of Sales for West Africa Atam Tayim, and Technical Support Lead Rebecca Saviour.
The focus of the sessions was on raising awareness about the importance of energy storage systems and highlighting the potential of solar power solutions to reduce operational costs and improve profitability for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the workshop, Omojasola Olatunji Dauda, CEO of Dazmah Consult Ltd, stressed the growing relevance of renewable energy in shaping Nigeria’s economic and environmental future.
“This initiative is part of our broader vision to empower local artisans, technicians, and business owners with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in the evolving energy landscape,” he stated.
Participants commended the organizers for the impactful and hands-on training, describing it as timely and beneficial in the face of rising energy costs and growing demand for alternative power solutions.
