Rev. Dr. Uche Ume, Senior Pastor of Power World Ministries International, has given a 48-hour deadline to podcaster Kel Armstrong Amobi, demanding a public retraction of accusations that he performs fake miracles and engages in manipulation.

Through a statement released by his legal counsel, Barr. Maxwell Opara, and made available to NEWS BULLETIN, Rev. Ume described the claims as defamatory and damaging, particularly those made in videos shared on social media between April 8 and 9, 2025.

Amobi, host of the KAATalks podcast, alleged in the videos that Rev. Ume had been “staging miracles, giving false prophecies, and extorting money from vulnerable people,” specifically mentioning communities in Ebonyi, Aba, and other locations. He further claimed that the pastor had reached out to people close to him, asking for forgiveness.

“There is nobody close to me that he hasn’t called, begging me to forgive him,” Amobi stated in one of the clips. “But what he needs is to stop the staged miracles, false prophecies, and extortion… Do you know how many people may have lost their lives because of you?”

Rev. Ume’s legal team insists the statements are baseless and have severely harmed his reputation both personally and in ministry. They warned that if Amobi fails to issue a full and public retraction within 48 hours of receiving the notice, legal action would be pursued to “protect our client’s name and reputation.”
