The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has felicitated with Christians across Kwara State and Nigeria at large on the celebration of Palm Sunday, calling for renewed commitment to the values of peace, love, and sacrifice as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, the Director of the Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal, described Palm Sunday as a sacred day that marks the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, symbolizing humility, divine mission, and the promise of salvation.
“Palm Sunday is not just a religious observance; it is a reminder of the power of sacrifice and the eternal message of peace. It is a time for all of us—regardless of faith—to reflect on how we can contribute to a better, more compassionate society,” Mr. Lawal stated.
He urged Christian faithful to use the occasion to rededicate themselves to the principles of unity, tolerance, and selfless service, noting that Nigeria, now more than ever, needs healing and collective responsibility to overcome its challenges.
Mr. Lawal further reaffirmed the MOK Foundation’s commitment to advancing human welfare through community development initiatives, youth empowerment, and humanitarian support, stressing that these actions reflect the spirit of service that Palm Sunday represents.
“On behalf of the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation, I wish all Christians a blessed Palm Sunday and a joyful Easter season filled with hope, faith, and renewed purpose,” he concluded.
