May Almighty Allah grant Bintinlaye/Bintin aljanat firdaus. Amen
Who is next amongst us?
Are we prepared?
What happened to Maruf (Bintin) will eventually happen to all of us individually at a stage or time whether we like it or not. It is indeed an ordained proclamation.
So how prepared are you and my humble self? Ki Olorun jeki odun jina sira won. Ki Olorun pa gbogbo won po ke. Amin!
Bintin touched lives and lived a fullied life! It is not how far but how well. Bintinlaye (small world)
He was ambitious politically because he wanted to serve the people genuinely and at a time I encouraged him because I saw him as a refined politician. Unfortunately that vision was cut short on 1st April, 2025.
But he touched lives politically and otherwise because he was a philanthropist with a big heart.
May Almighty Allah give his family, friends, Politics Now WhatsApp Platform Members, his Media Team and political associates amongst others the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Amen.
I wrote this piece immediately I watched the video posted by Odidere on Facebook when Janaza prayer was observed on him on 2nd April, 2025 because the angel of death visited him very late the previous day and his remains departed Abuja for Offa immediately. Infact, I was shocked to the bone marrow. The shock is still on me.
I later fine tuned this piece after I overcame my initial shock 3 days later.
I was shocked for so many reasons and then reflected on some of our numerous chats on Politics Now WhatsApp Platform. Unfortunately, it was on that same platform I read about his demise. What an irony!
He was burbling with life before his brief illness and his life was cut short. It is indeed an eclipse at sunset.
His death was quite sad, painful, disheartening and very disturbing because he was cut short at his prime.
I really felt for him because he had a good vision of how our community, state and country should be. He had good intention to serve humanity but he tried his best anyway.
To say the least, he had clear vision why he wanted to serve the people and also what he wanted to achieve politically and otherwise but all to no avail.
Be that as it may, we cannot question the veracity of Almighty Allah on Bitin’s death because He knows best.
The lesson in Bintinlaye’s untimely death is that we must be prepared for death. Just like the Motto of the Boy’s Scout; “Be Prepared”. Sometime ago (last year to be precise) on his way to the United States, he just wrote a terse message and said “please, pray for me” and immediately we started raining prayers for him in torrents. We never knew he was technically telling us bye bye.
This later jolted me and which presupposes that he had premonition about his death.
Another lesson is that we need to touch lives and leave a lasting legacy.
Not only that, community service is key whilst the worship of Almighty Allah at all times is the ultimate.
Bintin has gone but his legacy lives on.
Once again, may Almighty Allah grant him aljanat firdaus. Amin
Bintin: We meet to part, we part to meet until we shall finally meet to part no more.
