In a strong show of solidarity, stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Obokun Local Government have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the administration of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

The reaffirmation came during a stakeholders’ meeting held today in Obokun, where party leaders, elders, and loyalists gathered to deliberate on the political direction of the local chapter following recent developments, including the exit of Hon. Oluwole Oke from the PDP.

In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, the stakeholders declared their total support for Governor Adeleke, lauding his administration’s developmental strides in Obokun and across the state.

“We reaffirm our unwavering loyalty and steadfast commitment to the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. Our solidarity is total, our faith in the government is strong, and our resolve to uphold the ideals of our great party remains unshakeable,” the statement read in part.

The stakeholders commended the governor’s achievements, describing his interventions as “life-changing impacts” that resonate with the people at the grassroots. They expressed confidence in his continued commitment to the progress of Obokun and pledged their support for his re-election in 2026.

Recognizing his “outstanding performance and visionary leadership,” the PDP stakeholders adopted Governor Adeleke as their sole candidate for the upcoming governorship election and vowed to mobilize massive support for his re-election.

The communique also called for unity within the party, urging members and supporters to remain loyal and disciplined as the party positions itself for future electoral victories.

“We must continue to mobilize our people, deepen our grassroots support, and safeguard the enduring legacy of progress that our party represents,” the stakeholders declared.

The meeting concluded with a resounding endorsement of the PDP’s state leadership under Hon. Sunday Bisi and the local leadership of Hon. Adelani Owoeye.

The development comes amid political realignments in the state following Hon. Wole Oke’s resignation from the PDP, a move that has stirred speculation about possible shifts in local political dynamics.
