No-Vacancy-In-Delta-Govt-House-–-Speaker-750x536

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly (DSHA), Hon. Dennis Guwor, has declared that there is no vacancy in the Delta State Government House, affirming that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will secure a second term in 2027.

Speaking at his official residence in Asaba while hosting the executive and members of Unique Ladies for Sheriff, Guwor insisted that Oborevwori would be the sole governorship candidate in the state’s 2027 election.

Accompanied by his wife, Timiebi, the Speaker reassured that the governor remains committed to fulfilling his campaign promises, undeterred by distractions from those who do not have the state’s best interests at heart.

“There will be only one governorship candidate in Delta State in 2027—our governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. He is an administrator who lets his achievements speak for him. He has done exceptionally well, and Deltans are proud of him,” Guwor stated.

He further emphasized the party’s dominance, recalling its victory in 21 out of 25 local government areas in the 2023 election. “In 2027, it will be a clean sweep—25 over 25. No local government will be won by the opposition. Members of the Delta State Assembly will stand firmly with the governor as he continues to drive development across the state,” he added.

Guwor commended the Unique Ladies for Sheriff for their unwavering support and efforts in mobilizing for the governor’s re-election.

Earlier, the group’s national president, Dame Nkem Okwuofu, highlighted that Unique Ladies for Sheriff is a coalition of formidable PDP women politicians dedicated to advancing the governor’s developmental agenda for the state.

Among those present at the event were Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Majority Leader Dr. Emeka Nwaobi, Deputy Chief Whip Fred Martins, Majority Whip Bernard Odior, Member Representing Burutu 2, Pereotu Oloye, and former House member Daniel Mayuku.
