The Management of Kwara State University (KWASU) has announced a temporary suspension of the planned relocation of its Faculty of Agriculture to the Ilesha-Baruba campus.

This development was disclosed in an official memo signed by the university’s Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, and issued to the concerned faculty on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

According to the memo, the relocation, which was scheduled to coincide with the commencement of the Rain Semester, has been put on hold. Management, however, assured that a new date for the move would be communicated in due course.

The announcement was confirmed by Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, who reiterated the institution’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and the well-being of staff and students.

While the reason for the suspension was not disclosed in the memo, stakeholders are advised to await further directives from the university management.
