Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, Head of the Legal Department at Oke Ero Local Government Area in Kwara State, has been abducted, sparking widespread concern across the state.
According to information shared by AbdulRasaq Olarewaju in the popular Kwara-based WhatsApp group “Kwara Commission” and obtained by Just Event Online TV on Saturday, Barrister Arinde was kidnapped along with the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Local Government on Friday, April 25, 2025. The duo was traveling from Oke Ero to Ilorin, the state capital, when the incident occurred.
Efforts to reach Barrister Arinde through her phone number, 08060628169, have been unsuccessful, and her current location remains unknown.
In response, SMH Kosemani Esq., Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ilorin Branch, issued a statement urging the public to spread the information widely to aid rescue efforts. He also called for prayers for her safe and swift return.
Residents are advised to stay alert and assist in every way possible to ensure the release of Barrister Arinde and the others.
