Suspected hoodlums armed with cutlasses and firearms launched an attack on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the early hours of Tuesday.

The incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. in Obeiba-Ihima, located in the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post on Thursday via his X handle, stating that the Senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, had reported the attack to the authorities.

According to Makama, Ovanja confirmed that at least three armed men were involved in the assault, during which parts of the building were vandalized, including broken window panes.

Following a distress call, operatives from the Okehi Police Division responded swiftly to the scene. Although no casualties were recorded and no suspects apprehended, officers documented the damage and have begun preliminary investigations.

Police sources say the motive for the attack remains unclear.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
