With deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, I, Honourable Azeez Oyeyemi Olanrewaju Omoluabi, extend my condolences to His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Okikiola Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I, the Olofa of Offa, on the passing of his beloved mother, Matriarch Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi (Iya Ijebu), who departed this world on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the graceful age of 94.
Mama lived a fulfilling life marked by unwavering devotion to Allah, selfless service to humanity, and immeasurable contributions to the growth of Offa and its people.
Her legacy of piety, generosity, and motherly guidance will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of encountering her.
As we mourn her departure, we also celebrate her impactful journey and pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings and grants her Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
I also pray for strength, comfort, and divine fortitude for Kabiyesi, the royal family, and the entire Offa community in this moment of grief.
May the soul of the departed continue to rest in perfect peace.
