A Tribute To Alhaji (Hon) Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye

The weight of grief is heavy upon us as we bid farewell to a man whose life was dedicated to service, excellence, and humanity— Alhaji Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye.

His sudden departure as announced this evening is a profound loss, not just to his family and loved ones, but to the countless individuals whose lives he touched across Kwara State and beyond.

For 13 months, from May 2022 to June 2023, I had the privilege of serving as his media aide. In those months, I saw firsthand the depth of his wisdom, his unwavering commitment to progress, and his relentless pursuit of a better future for his people.

He was not just a boss but a mentor, a leader who believed in empowering others and giving everyone a chance to succeed.

He’s the one who funded my media company, NEWS BULLETIN NIGERIA.

Hon. Bintinlaye was a thoroughbred than a businessman, politician, and Philanthropist. He was a grassroots politician who never lost touch with his roots, a man who understood the struggles of the common man and worked tirelessly to uplift them.

Through his contributions to business, politics, and sports, he built bridges of hope for many.

His name will forever be etched in the annals of Kwara’s history as a leader who stood for justice, progress, and inclusivity. His humility, despite his towering achievements, set him apart. Even in the face of political storms, he remained steadfast, never compromising his principles for personal gain.

The news of his passing leaves an irreplaceable void.

Hon. Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye, you have fought the good fight. You have run your race with dignity. May your soul find eternal peace, and may your legacy continue to inspire generations to come.

Rest in power, Oga mi. You will be deeply missed.
