President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the completion of the dualization of the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, a critical infrastructure project that has faced delays over the years.
The project, valued at N147,887,810,833.87, will be executed by Mssrs JRB Construction Co. Ltd, marking a significant step in the federal government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure across the country.
Fully aware of the strategic importance of the Ibadan-Ilorin road corridor, President Tinubu has prioritized the completion of this project to ease the burden on road users, particularly haulage operators transporting goods and agricultural produce from the North to Lagos. The improved road network is also expected to bring relief to commuters, including students and other travelers who have long endured delays and hardship due to the incomplete sections.
This development aligns with the administration’s broader agenda to enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, and ensure safer travel across Nigeria’s major highways.
