
The Mc Bayshee Islamic Foundation successfully held its 3rd Ramadan Lecture, featuring insightful discussions, competitions, and charitable donations aimed at strengthening the Muslim community, earlier today.
The event, which took place at the Imperial Shopping Complex, opposite Summit University, Offa, Kwara State, included a Q&A session, a Qur’an recitation competition, and a quiz competition to engage attendees, especially the youth.
The chief preacher for the day, Alhaji Imam Shamsudeen Salman Husayn, the Oba Ilekewu of Offa and Imam of Ilupeju Jumaat Mosque, Offa, delivered a sermon on the topic, “Who Are the True Believers?” His lecture emphasized the principles of faith, sincerity, and devotion in Islam.
The event was graced by Aare Abdulrahman Rabiu Babge, the Chief Bobajiroro of Ilemona, who served as the Father of the Day in absentia.
A significant aspect of the program was the distribution of foodstuffs to nearly 2,000 people, ensuring that many families had essential provisions during Ramadan. Items shared included rice, semo, spaghetti, and garri.
Mr. Bello Abdulbashit Adeshina (MC Bayshee), extended special appreciation to key donors, including: Bobajiroro of Ilemona, Alhaji Saheed Obalowu, CEO of Hardek Telecommunications, Alhaji Biliaminu Ebila, T Focus and Sons Motors and other generous individuals who contributed food and financial support.
The event also featured a quiz competition for children, with winners receiving ₦5,000 each as a token of encouragement for their Islamic knowledge and participation.
