The Ologuro of Igbo-Orita in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku, has passed away.
Sources confirmed that the monarch died on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Oba Beyioku ascended the throne a few years ago after returning from northern Nigeria. He succeeded the late Oba Amos Alade Oyedokun Olawuyi Durotolu I.
A close associate of the monarch, Justina Adamu, confirmed his passing in a statement obtained by News Bulletin on Wednesday.
The statement reads: “With deep sorrow, we announce the transition to the eternal glory of His Royal Majesty, the Ologuro of Igbo-Orita in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku, which occurred on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
“Details of the burial arrangements will be announced after necessary rites and official consultations.”
