Qs Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK), the Founder of the MOK Foundation and Principal Partner at Luxiar Construction Limited, has expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of condolences and support following the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Sariyu Aduni Okunlola.
Alhaja Okunlola passed away in the early hours of March 21, 2023, after a brief illness. While mourning her departure, MOK has emphasized his firm belief that her passing is in accordance with the will of Allah.
“In these challenging times, our family finds solace and strength in our faith,” MOK stated. “My mother lived a life of simplicity and grace, treating everyone with kindness as if they were her own children. Her generosity and nurturing spirit touched countless lives, and her presence will be dearly missed.”
He extended heartfelt appreciation to those who have offered condolences, prayers, and support during this difficult period. MOK particularly acknowledged the Chief Imam of Offa, Shaikh Muhideen Salman, for his spiritual guidance, as well as traditional and religious leaders who have provided comfort to the family.
He also recognized the Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government, Hon. Suleiman Olatunji, the Speaker of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Sharon, along with Hon. JK and Hon. Adato, for their unwavering support. Special appreciation was extended to the management of Lens Institutions, the Founder of Sobi FM, Alhaji Olayiwola Mustapha, local market traders, and the Offa Descendants Union, all of whom have shown immense solidarity.
To friends, family, and media practitioners who have shared in their grief, MOK expressed profound gratitude. “Your compassion has made a significant difference in helping us come to terms with this painful loss. We truly appreciate your presence, prayers, and assistance as we honor my mother’s memory and celebrate her life. Thank you all for being there for us.”
