The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested Victor Lorjaal for allegedly murdering his mother, Mrs. Victoria Lorjaal, and his elder sister, Brenda Lorjaal, with a machete.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, noting that it occurred on Tuesday around 7:10 a.m. on a farm in Aba Ile Camp, Itaji-Ekiti.
According to an eyewitness, who is also a sibling of the deceased, while they were working on the farm with the suspect, he suddenly left and went to meet their mother and sister at a nearby location. The eyewitness reported hearing their mother scream for help. However, by the time he reached them, the suspect had already attacked the victims and fled with the machete.
Abutu stated, “The Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has ordered a thorough investigation into this unfortunate incident. The suspect will be charged in court immediately after the investigation is completed.”
The police have assured the public that justice will be served.
