The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, will inaugurate the ultra-modern Police Headquarters complex in Yola on Thursday.

This announcement was made on Wednesday by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Adamawa Command.

Nguroje stated that in preparation for the visit, the state Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has advised officers deployed for this special occasion to maintain professionalism and be friendly to the public.

Dankombo emphasized this approach to create a conducive environment and ensure a peaceful inauguration ceremony for the IGP.

To facilitate this, the Commissioner has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Operations and the Area Commanders for Yola and Karewa to coordinate security deployments at all key locations where the nation’s top police officer, dignitaries, and VIPs will be present.

The Commanding Officer of the 14 Police Mobile Force will lead armed personnel from tactical teams, including Special Protection Units and Counter-Terrorism Units, to secure all entry and exit roads.

Traffic control officers, under the supervision of the officer in charge of the Central Motor Traffic Division (CMTD), will ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the ceremony.

Additionally, the Anti-Bomb Squad and crowd control officers have been deployed to scan, coordinate, and secure areas of interest to prevent any security threats and effectively manage emergency situations.
