As the Muslim Ummah commences Ramadan today, the Deputy Senate Leader and lawmaker representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Architect Oyelola Yisa Ashiru has called on all Muslims to use this period of fasting and prayers to seek the face of Allah regarding the state of the nation.

Senator Ashiru, in a message to all Muslims in Kwara South Senatorial District and Nigeria in general, said fasting and prayers are a period of personal reconnection with Allah in all aspects of life.

“I call on the Muslim Ummah to show love and understanding towards all religious adherents as they undertake this important article of Islamic faith.

“Equally, I urge every Muslim Ummah to see the month of Ramadan as a period of piety, love, reflection, and oneness with the Almighty Allah.”

He called on them to pray for the nation in all areas while emphasizing the need for peaceful coexistence among all.
