Recently, a young boy named Bolagade Samuel, also known as the viral sensation “Radio Boy,” captured the hearts of many with his hilarious news broadcast about his brother, Michael, being bald. His creativity and natural talent quickly caught the attention of the public and, most notably, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, the CEO of Agidigbo FM.
In a commendable act of kindness, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat promised to sponsor Samuel’s education until graduation. Not only that, but he also guaranteed him employment and assured that his salary would continue to be paid while he pursued his studies. This gesture was celebrated by many who regarded the boy as lucky.
However, what many call luck, I see as preparation meeting opportunity. Samuel’s ability to perform excellently during interviews at Agidigbo FM and other radio stations wasn’t by chance. It was the result of readiness and preparation.
Opportunities often come when we least expect them, but only those who are prepared can seize them to their advantage. Bolagade Samuel’s story serves as a powerful reminder: prepare yourself, refine your skills, and be ready to showcase them when the moment arises.
The next big opportunity could be yours. Will you be ready?
