Afrobeats star Asake has admitted his father, Fatai Odunsi, to a specialist hospital in Ikoyi, where he is receiving care from Chinese medical experts, a reliable source has confirmed.
A neighbor of Odunsi, who previously guided Sunday Scoop to Asake’s childhood home in Iga Idunganran, Isale Eko, verified the development. Speaking in the local Isale Eko dialect (translated into English), she said, “Call me again around 6:30 pm. By then, I should have visited their house and will be able to provide more details.” When contacted again at 7 pm, she confirmed, “I have spoken with his (Odunsi’s) wife, and she confirmed that he has been admitted to a specialist hospital in Ikoyi, where Chinese experts are treating him.”
A member of Asake’s management team, speaking anonymously, described the situation as an oversight but assured that the artist is now fulfilling his responsibilities. According to the source, Asake has begun financially supporting both his father and his daughter, Zeenat. However, the source could not confirm whether Asake would reconcile with Zeenat’s mother or provide financial assistance to her.
“It was all an oversight, but everything has been resolved. He has reconnected with his family and assured them of his continued support. To my knowledge, he has started fulfilling his promises, which is why the situation has calmed down.
