Mrs Rose Idibia, mother of veteran singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has made an emotional appeal to Nigerian mothers, urging them to help her plead with Edo State lawmaker, Hon. Natasha Osawuru, to let her son go.

In a viral video that surfaced on Thursday evening, Mrs Idibia expressed deep concern over her son’s well-being, stating that he is not in his right state of mind due to his ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.

“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I am calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she pleaded.

“My son is currently going through a divorce, and I know him well—he is not himself right now. The man I see in these videos is not my son.

“Please, Natasha, the beads you placed on his wrist and neck—remove them and release him,” she added.

NEWS BULLETIN  reports that 2Baba proposed to Natasha Osawaru in a viral video on Thursday. Natasha is the granddaughter of Edo billionaire businessman, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion.

The video showed the singer and the lawmaker dancing closely, surrounded by friends. Moments later, 2Baba presented her with a ring, sealing the moment with a long embrace.

This development came just a day after the musician publicly confirmed his romantic relationship with Osawaru, causing a stir on social media.

The revelation followed his recent separation from Annie Macaulay-Idibia, with 2Baba stating that he intends to take his relationship with Osawaru to the next level.

Speculation about their romance had been growing after 2Baba was spotted at the Edo State Assembly and later seen with Natasha at a Lagos club.

Addressing the rumours, the African Queen crooner took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a video message:

“Allegedly, I have seen so many things—so many people coming up with false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted what I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted.

“Hon. Natasha has been dragged and called all sorts of names. She has been labelled a homewrecker.

“But the truth is, she is a young, brilliant, and amazing woman. She had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”
