Let me categorically state that: As a well breed, nurtured and cultured by a disciplinarian but generous father, Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, the Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District has no reason to in any way be at loggerheads with His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq rather than the fallacies created by political opportunists to curry unmerited political attention of Mr. Governor through the propaganda of “he’s not loyal”. The chairman of NGF has demonstrated unblemished gesture of friendship and leadership to Senator Ashiru on several occasions. For example, the nomination of Hon. Femi Agbaje Whyte to Governor as commissioner by Senator Ashiru during his first term, the nomination of Hon. Segun Ogunshola (Son of Late Dr. Femi Ogunsola from Ifelodun) and secure of House of Assembly ticket for Hon. Seun Oguniyi Adato representing Ojomu/Balogun constituency which was singlehanded requested by Senator Ashiru and granted by Governor AA against all odds during the 2023 APC primaries. Can all these aforementioned gestures occurred between two enemies ?
However, despite the scheming to stop the program, the genuine and respected stakeholders of Kwara South during the stakeholders interactive meeting at Avalon Hotel Offa have spoken in unison and orotund that- *”we as a people of Kwara South are not enemy to Kwara North, not an enemy to Kwara Central because that’s the engine room of the state, at the same time; we can not afford to be an enemy to ourselves.”*
I wish to passionately appreciate the amiable Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi for a thought provoking remarks challenging the state of mental slavery and sycophantic disposition of some desperate politicians posing a greater threat to our value system as a people of Kwara South. All the participants of Kwara South Stakeholders Interactive Meeting among which includes: Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Olayemi Olabanji, APC State Youth Leader, Hon. Duduyemi, Prince Shuaib, Dr. Oyedepo, General Abidoye, Professor Wale Suleiman, Captain Popoola, Dr. Fatai Bello, Hon. Segun Adebayo, Otunba Ganiyu Zubair (Gamzy), Prof. Majeed Ijaiya, Hon. Yinka Dallas, Baba Oyin Zubair, Rev. Bunmi Olusona, Aare Oluwanishola Adeoti, Chief Sunday Olasunde, Rt. Hon. Raphael Adetiba, Otunba Taiwo Joseph and a host of all sound-minded leaders and political titans who stood against all odds to attend the epoch gathering without the fear of emotional blackmail or political vendetta has once again reinforced our honor and dignity as a people just like our past hero’s.
To those who all worked vigorously to subsumed the meeting of people of common ideology, history shall never be economical for aiding attempts for the re-enslavement of our people when our heroes fought for liberation!
Just like our past hero’s, even if you chose to lose in any struggle for self dignity, you can only lose your chain.⛓️💥
The real political titans are now awaken. This is Kwara South, this is our territory!!!
