The National Coordinator of the Kwankwaso National Network (KNN) and a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Asiwaju Mashood Shittu, has lauded the resolutions of the party’s 8th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, expressing confidence in NNPP’s structure and its ability to clinch victory in the 2027 general elections.
Reacting to the NEC meeting held at the Bolingo Hotel in Abuja, Asiwaju Shittu commended the leadership of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other party stalwarts for their steadfast commitment to repositioning NNPP as Nigeria’s most credible alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“The outcome of this NEC meeting reaffirms the unity, strength, and resolve of the NNPP to provide a viable platform for Nigerians yearning for real change. Our party remains the fastest-growing political movement in the country, and with the structures we have built across the six geopolitical zones, we are confident of victory in 2027,” Shittu stated.
He emphasized that Nigerians have suffered greatly under the APC-led administration, citing economic hardship, insecurity, and infrastructural decay as major failures of the ruling party.
According to him, the NNPP presents the only genuine hope for citizens seeking responsive and accountable governance.
“Our people are tired of deception, poverty, and insecurity. The NNPP offers a clear roadmap to rescue Nigeria from the abyss of bad governance. The message from our leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at the NEC meeting was clear: we are prepared to take on the 2027 elections with a well-structured and formidable political machinery,” he added.
Shittu also commended the NEC’s decision to extend the tenure of caretaker committees in several states, describing it as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilization.
He urged all members and supporters to remain steadfast, united, and focused on ensuring NNPP’s success at all levels.
“The battle for 2027 has already begun. Our party is working tirelessly to consolidate its presence nationwide, and we call on all Nigerians to join this movement for a prosperous future,” he declared.
The NEC meeting, attended by key stakeholders including Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State and members of the National Working Committee (NWC), reaffirmed the party’s readiness to engage in issue-based campaigns and democratic reforms that will reposition Nigeria for sustainable development.
With growing momentum and increasing public support, NNPP leaders and supporters remain optimistic that the party will emerge victorious in the next general elections, bringing a new era of progressive leadership to Nigeria.
