Following the success of last year’s Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme, the Kwara State Government has announced the launch of an expanded edition for 2025, aimed at equipping more students with essential digital skills.
Spearheaded by the Office of the Special Assistant on Digital Innovations, in collaboration with the STEAM UP KWARA initiative, the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme 2025 will provide students across the state with training in key areas of technology and innovation.

Start Date: February 25, 2025
Target Participants: 7,500 students from government schools across all 16 local government areas

This initiative aligns with the state government’s commitment to digital transformation and youth empowerment, ensuring that students are well-prepared for opportunities in the global tech ecosystem.
Speaking on the programme, the Special Adviser on Education, Policy Formulation and Human Capital Development, Dr Adetola Ariyike Salau emphasized that the initiative is designed to foster creativity, problem-solving, and technical expertise among young learners.
“This is more than just a coding programme; it’s about preparing our students for a digital future. By expanding the scope and reach of this initiative, we are ensuring that no student is left behind in the tech revolution,” she said.
