A Kano State High Court has sentenced three individuals to death by hanging after finding them guilty of involvement in the murder of Hamisu Hassan, a resident of Yar Zabaina village in Gabasawa Local Government Area.

The convicts—Abdulrahman Ado (also known as Soja), Dahiru Mamman (AKA Duguja), and Hamisu Ibrahim (Hoga)—committed the crime in 2019 but were apprehended and charged in 2021.

After a prolonged trial, the court delivered its final judgment last Tuesday.

Mubarak Abubakar, the prosecution counsel, presented three witnesses, including the deceased’s son, to establish the charges of conspiracy and murder against the accused, all of whom hail from the same village.
