Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, former Minister of Women Affairs, has ventured into the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, just months after her dismissal from office by President Bola Tinubu.
Appointed in August 2023, Kennedy-Ohanenye was among five ministers removed during a cabinet reshuffle on October 23, 2024. Now, at 51, she has redirected her focus to filmmaking, marking a new chapter in her career.
Announcing her entry into Nollywood via her X handle, she shared a video showcasing her latest project.
Beyond politics and acting, Kennedy-Ohanenye is also a lawyer and entrepreneur. She joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015 and made history as the party’s first female presidential aspirant in 2023 before stepping down to support Tinubu.
