Comfort Folorunsho
Edo Queens, reigning champions of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), have declared their player, Comfort Folorunsho, absent without official leave (AWOL).
In a statement released on Thursday, the Benin City-based club revealed that Folorunsho left the team with all her belongings without notifying the management, despite being under contract.
Edo Queens have issued a warning to other clubs against signing the player without proper clearance, emphasizing their readiness to release her in a professional and orderly manner.
“The said player still has a running contract with Edo Queens FC, hence she has no right to leave without officially informing the club of her whereabouts,” the statement read.
“This notice serves as a warning to clubs not to engage her services without due clearance from Edo Queens FC.”
