Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja for a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, guarded by heavy security measures.

According to NEWS BULLETIN, access to the meeting location on Blantyre Street has been restricted, with roads cordoned off by a combined force of armed security personnel, including soldiers from the Guards Brigade.

Both vehicular and pedestrian movement along Blantyre Street has been curtailed as a precautionary measure.

Notable attendees who arrived early include all members of the National Working Committee (NWC), the Forum of State Chairmen, former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari, Minister of Budget and National Planning Atiku Bagudu, and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.

Key figures expected to attend the meeting include the party’s leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Goodwill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

This NEC meeting follows the national caucus meeting held the previous day at the Presidential Villa, also in Abuja.
